Host of the “All Things Real Estate” Radio Show
March 21, 2021
The “All Things Real Estate radio show airs this Sunday, March 21 (12-2pm Mountain Time) on Santa Fe’s Talk 1260 AM KTRC and 103.7-FM, and streams on SantaFe.com, as well as via the “Listen Now” link at ATREradio.com.
This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby’s International Realty’s Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660), as well as a variety of special guests who offer news, information, and commentary on current real estate, business, and community issues, important to homeowners, buyers, and sellers.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-host Stephen Etre, owner of Stephen’s, A Consignment Gallery, and their guests for a “countdown” inspired discussion of real estate, community, and business issues.
This Sunday–March 21–is National Countdown Day (“3…2…1”), which has been designated as an occasion to start the countdown to special events, celebrations, and days of significance to people and organizations.
Rey is using this as the theme for the broadcast since each of his guests have a unique element associated with their work and life that is worthy of a “countdown.” More broadly, all of us can use the show theme to speak to something that everyone wants to happen: a countdown towards the end of COVID-19 in our lives.
Stephen’s, A Consignment Gallery Review:
Rey and Stephen will apply the show theme to offer a countdown of special events occurring at the gallery. Rey will also invite Stephen to reflect on how his gallery has been a popular destination with homeowners, buyers, and sellers, as well as real estate professionals, for nearly four decades. This will include a conversation about the gallery’s proud tradition of “giving back” to Santa Fe, including the support of local charities, as well as cultural and educational organizations. This is reflected in the gallery team’s deep commitment to building local, and sustainable community relationships. Stephen will also remind the audience on how he and his team continue to practice social distancing procedures, to make shopping at the gallery, as safe and secure as possible. Stephen’s gallery brings more than 14,000 square feet of display space, providing a wide variety of unique items, including furniture, antiques, art, estate items, jewelry, and home accessories. For more than eleven years, Stephen’s gallery has served as one of the major corporate supporters of ATRE and has returned to this role in 2021.
Santa Fe Area Homebuilders Association Review:
Rey will be joined by David N. Rentfrow, the new owner of Santa Fe’s famous company–The Firebird –which is the leading stove, fireplace, irrigation, and outdoor living supplier in Northern New Mexico. David’s company also serves as the Banner Sponsor of the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association (SFAHBA) 2021 Remodelers Showcase, which is moving to a virtual platform supported by an outdoor in-person “BUILDERS’ RENDEZVOUS” event that will take place on May 15th, as well as a printed, re-imagined Haciendas magazine with numerous articles and resources to help Santa Feans manifest their home remodeling dreams. David has much to reveal using the “countdown” show theme, including the major rebranding of the well-regarded company, The Firebird, as well as the importance of “counting down” to the staging of the 2021 Remodelers Showcase. For the 11th year in a row, the SFAHBA is continuing as a supporter of, and content provider to ATRE in 2021.
Rey’s “Real Estate Recommendation”:
Rey’s weekly real estate recommendation will offer information on the ongoing efforts of Sotheby’s International Realty to address the needs of home buyers and sellers, as the coronavirus situation continues. Rey will also share some thoughts on the ongoing element of teamwork, that he and all of his broker colleagues subscribe to. Specifically, that the marketing and administrative staff at the Santa Fe office of Sotheby’s International Realty are offering an even greater level of professional assistance to the company’s brokers and clients, during this exceptionally challenging period of time.
Broker Reflections and Property of the Week:
Rey will review the attributes of 79 Cielo Tranquilo Court with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Drew Lamprich. Drew will also share how he continues to pursue COVID-19 safe and secure procedures with his home buyer and seller clients. Regarding Drew’s listing–this 5,100 square foot home, is a flawlessly designed and impeccably executed adobe construction, built-in 2018 by Jeff Fagley, the premier custom adobe builder in Santa Fe. Sited on 13.2 view acres with far-reaching panoramas of three mountain ranges and huge sunsets, at the end of a cul-de-sac on a private road, the ultimate in seclusion. A quick overview of the main amenities – four-bedrooms, 5 ½ bathrooms, private office/study, gym, attached guest quarters, three-car garage, extensive landscaping, and solar panels. The kitchen has top-of-the-line appliances and a large butler’s pantry. From the kitchen, there is an easy flow to the most elegant of formal dining rooms, and there is also an informal breakfast nook. Expansive living areas flow seamlessly from one to the next, in a well-thought-out floor plan. The expansive master suite has two full bathrooms, two walk-in closets, and a gym, which could be a private study or nursery. The two guest rooms each have en-suite bathrooms, located in a separate wing. Offering good flexibility, there are attached, fully equipped guest quarters with living room, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom, all finished to the same high-quality, with private entrance. Finishes are exquisite, with plaster walls, wide-plank wood flooring throughout, except in the bathrooms, which are travertine. Thoughtful landscaping includes a year-round raised-bed, covered garden with a self-watering system. 4 horses allowed.
In the second hour of the show, join Rey for a special interview of the Mayor of Santa Fe, Alan Webber. Rey and the Mayor will continue the “countdown” theme from the first hour of the program, speaking to the issues important to the residents of the city as we near the end of the 1st quarter of 2021. Becoming the 43rd mayor of Santa Fe winning with a landslide victory on March 6, 2018, Alan is known as a successful entrepreneur and author and has considerable experience in local, state, and Federal government activities. Alan has worked as the Editorial Director of the Harvard Business Review; ran for the Democratic nomination for Governor of New Mexico in 2014 (finishing second in a field of five candidates); and in 1995, co-founded the technology business magazine, Fast Company, where he was named Adweek’s Editor of the Year in 1999. In his second interview of 2021 on “All Things Real Estate,” Alan will engage in a discussion with Rey on a variety of issues, including:
- Successes in Santa Fe’s efforts to address the Covid-19 challenge.
- Review of the city’s economic and budget situation.
- Address key real estate and development issues in Santa Fe.
- Assessment of the city’s future and role in our nation and world.
ATRE Moving Towards 12 Years Of Airing On June 6, 2021
In June 2009, the inaugural broadcast of the ATRE program was aired. Since then, the show has aired on more than 600 occasions, mostly in a two-hour format, with nearly 2,700 guest commentators coming from Santa Fe and national real estate, business, governmental, entertainment, and community organizations. Though Rey created the show and has hosted just about every 1st hour (and many of the 2nd-hour broadcasts), a number of professionals have served as special guest hosts for many of the 2nd-hour broadcasts of the show. Rey is honored that ATRE has been embraced by the listening audience, with people in Santa Fe, throughout New Mexico, and across the country selecting the show as a destination each Sunday. He is also very appreciative of the program’s corporate supporters, broadcast professionals at Hutton Broadcasting, and the marketing team at Sotheby’s International Realty, for all that they have done to make the show a success.
ATRE Wins National Award
In January 2020, RISMedia—the leading information and news provider for the residential real estate industry—named ATRE as one of their “2020 Newsmakers.” Cited as a nationally-recognized industry leader, ATRE and others were characterized by RISMedia as “making a difference in the real estate and homeownership sectors, and whose actions have a far-reaching and profound impact on the real estate industry.” ATRE won in the category of “Trendsetters” in real estate, with information on the roster of award designees at https://rismedia.com/2020-newsmakers/, and ATRE recognized at https://rismedia.com/newsmaker/?id=429. Giving Back to the Community
Since 2009, the “All Things Real Estate” (ATRE) radio show has offered air time to a variety of Santa Fe non-profit and community organizations. Representatives from organizations are able to use the ATRE program to share news and information with northern New Mexico residents about their services and activities. Over the years, some of the highly-regarded non-profit organizations featured on the ATRE program are: Cornerstones Community Partnerships; Think New Mexico; Las Campanas Compadres; the Santa Fe Concorso; Kitchen Angels; Creative Santa Fe; Dollars4Schools; and Youthworks. Senior Officers of the CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, have also served as commentators on the program. In addition, Santa Fe Mayor Alan Webber—who has offered commentary on the show since first elected in 2018—speaks to the programs, events and community activities important to the residents of the city. In 2019, the Town of Taos collaborated with ATRE, in a year-long information series—sponsored by the Taos Ski Valley—called “This Is Taos.” Designed to offer useful information about this historic northern New Mexico community, the monthly show earned high marks from the public.
