Real Estate brokers are regularly asked by their clients for suggestions on sources for obtaining information on important insurance services and products.

I have found that the Jacobs Family Insurance Agency, offers some interesting tools to meet many of the insurance needs of home owners, buyers and sellers. Here are three links that provide some valuable advice on insurance-related matters:

  • APPS TO MANAGE YOUR INSURANCE — Check out and download free Allstate mobile apps that can help you manage your account, pay your bill, report a claim, shop for insurance and more: https://www.allstate.com/support/mobile-apps

THIS SUNDAY, JOIN ALL THINGS REAL ESTATE RADIO SHOW HOST REY POST AS HE AND HIS GUESTS DISCUSS EFFECTIVE CLIENT COMMUNICATIONS IN THE 1ST HOUR OF THE SHOW, WHILE STEVE RIEMANN OF THE SANTA FE TITLE CO. HOSTS THE 2ND HOUR OF THE PROGRAM

By Rey Post
Associate Broker, Sotheby’s International Realty
Host of the “All Things Real Estate” Radio Show
July 10, 2022

The “All Things Real Estate radio show airs this Sunday, July 10 (12-2pm Mountain Time) on Santa Fe’s Talk 1260 AM KTRC and 103.7-FM, and streams on SantaFe.com, as well as via the “Listen Now” link at ATREradio.com.

This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby’s International Realty’s Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660), as well as a variety of special guests who offer news, information, and commentary on current real estate, business, and community issues, important to homeowners, buyers, and sellers.

In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-host Kevin Skelly, principal at home construction firm K.M. Skelly, Inc. and their guests, for a discussion of real estate and business issues, inspired by a unique event.

This Sunday is the 60-year anniversary of the launch of Telstar 1, the world’s first active communications satellite—built by AT&T’s Bell Telephone Laboratories. The satellite transmitted live television signals, telephone conversations, and telegraph, data, telephoto, and facsimile transmissions across the Atlantic Ocean.

Most communication experts believe that the success of Telstar 1 contributed heavily to furthering the development of all sorts of devices that consumers and businesses rely upon today to disseminate—and capture—news, information, entertainment, as well as for everyday interaction.

Using this historic milestone, Rey, Kevin and their guests will speak to the critical importance of effective communications in real estate and business activities. How and when we communicate with our clients and colleagues, as well as the diverse tools we use to achieve this goal, will be among the topics discussed.

Home Builder Review:

Kevin Skelly will address the theme of the show, and will also review how he and his team bring their skill, experience and considerable attention to every detail in the process of designing and constructing homes for their clients in 2022. Kevin will also update the audience on the state of home construction in July, and also summarize the elements of some of his latest projects. From concept to construction, Kevin and his team are well-known for applying a comprehensive approach in the process of achieving a consumer’s vision for building, or remodeling a home. Kevin’s firm offers services to consumers not only in Northern New Mexico, but also in the Durango, Colorado region, where he has a track record of successful home construction. K.M. Skelly, Inc., has perfected a strategy that concentrates on customer service and quality products by giving attention to the details in every project. Kevin Skelly is a Certified Green Professional and a Graduate Master Builder with over three decades of industry experience. Living in Santa Fe for more than 30 years, Kevin has developed a love for “Santa Fe style” that incorporates simple lines and reflects the landscape’s natural beauty. Accepting a limited number of projects each year, K.M. Skelly, Inc., is able to build a lasting trust with every client, transforming their visions into reality. Throughout 2022, Kevin is offering his valuable and well-regarded on-air observations on a variety of home construction issues.

Lucky Dog Hi-Fi & Technology Solutions Report:

Danny Muller, co-owner of Lucky Dog Hi-Fi & Technology Solutions, will offer his thoughts on the show’s communications theme, as it applies to the client work that he and his colleagues pursue on behalf of home owners. To their client activities, Danny and his colleagues bring entertainment-related knowledge working for, or owning record stores, night clubs, production companies, and recording studios. Danny will share information on how he and his business partner, Truewill Mashburn, specialize in providing not only residential, but also commercial custom technology solutions for their clients. The different backgrounds of the Lucky Dog team contribute to a unique end result: their ability to customize their clients’ home for audio, A/V, home automation, networking, and home lighting based on their particular specifications and circumstances. They understand how architecture, design, engineering, acoustics, and technology can all work together to craft a certain outcome. Danny and Truewill are among ATRE’s most trusted corporate supporters, and show commentators.

Rey’s “Real Estate Recommendation”:

Rey’s weekly real estate recommendation offers information on a variety of timely home buying and selling, community and business issues that impact the lives and work of consumers and real estate professionals. Rey’s commentary will include observations on the element of broker teamwork, and the professional assistance the marketing and administrative staff at the Santa Fe office of Sotheby’s International Realty bring to their interaction with the company’s brokers and clients.

Reflections On The Brokers And Listings Of Sotheby’s International Realty:

Rey will share his thoughts on the professional expertise, knowledge and commitment of his fellow associate broker colleagues at Sotheby’s International Realty, as well as the quality of the listings that the company offers to home buyers who wish to make Santa Fe their home.

In the second hour of the show, join Steve Riemann, President of the Santa Fe Title Company, as he guest hosts the monthly broadcast of ATRE’s “Second Sunday Show.” Brought to you by the Santa Fe Title Company, in the second hour of ATRE’s show—on the second Sunday of each month—the “Second Sunday Show” features an hour-long conversation on a variety of real estate, business, and community issues that impact the lives of real estate professionals and the home buyer, seller, owner and renter clients they serve.

The “Second Sunday Show” In July

Steve has a diverse show theme for the July program, including a discussion of the home purchase closing process in the Santa Fe region; observations on the state of the real estate market in July; and the importance of title insurance in all home buying/selling transactions in 2022. As a certified instructor of real estate in New Mexico, Steve will also offer some thoughts on why consumers should strive to partner with well-educated real estate professionals.

In another part of the show, Steve will have a conversation with Sotheby’s International Realty associate broker Neil Lyon, regarding the NextGen seminar Neil and his team colleagues recently held, which focused on the concept of real estate brokers “passing the torch” to their children in the brokerage business. Neil Lyon has been among Santa Fe’s top producing brokers since 2002. A licensed real estate agent since 1975 and a licensed broker since 1979, Neil’s knowledge of the real estate industry spans decades.

A powerful force in Santa Fe’s real estate market, Neil’s keys to success are his serious work ethic and ability to close difficult transactions, as evidenced by his high level of productivity, which since January 2005 has exceeded more than three-quarters of a billion dollars in closed sales volume.

The Santa Fe Title Company is committed to providing the best service possible for home buyers, including top notch closing services and delivering title insurance protection covering invalid liens, false claim of rights, and heirs that have not been identified, to name a few. Steve was the very first guest on the ATRE show in June 2009, and is continuing—in 2022—his role as an expert commentator, and corporate supporter.

ATRE Marks 13 Years Of Airing On June 5, 2022

ATRE began airing in June 2009, with the show broadcasting on more than 700 occasions, as it marks 13 years of airing on Sunday, June 5th. Mostly in a two-hour format, the show has engaged in conversations with more than 3,000 guest commentators coming from Santa Fe and national real estate, business, governmental, entertainment, and community organizations. Though Rey created the show and has hosted just about every 1st hour (and many of the 2nd-hour broadcasts), a number of professionals have served as special guest hosts for many of the 2nd-hour broadcasts of the show. Rey is honored that ATRE has been embraced by the listening audience, with people in Santa Fe, throughout New Mexico, and across the country selecting the show as a destination each Sunday. He is also very appreciative of the program’s corporate supporters, broadcast professionals at Hutton Broadcasting, and the marketing team and fellow associate brokers at Sotheby’s International Realty, for all that they have done to make the show a success. Here is a link to a press release, marking the 13-year anniversary of the program in June 2022.
