and Sunday, October 4, 2026

The weekly broadcast of the “All Things Real Estate” (ATRE) radio show—also available in a podcast format—brings timely and informative content to the public from some of the nation’s best business, non-profit, community, government, entertainment, and real estate leaders.
The program features its main host and Sotheby’s International Realty Associate Broker—Rey Post (NM REC License #45660), as well as other real estate professionals who occasionally host the program. Since 2009, the show’s hosts—joined each week by a variety of guest commentators—have made ATRE a favorite weekend destination for listeners from all over the country.
On the show airing this Saturday and Sunday, join Rey and his special guests—John Grisak, the owner of three roof restoration companies, including Fix My Roof—and Graduate Master Builder and the principal at K.M. Skelly Inc., for a conversation about current real estate and business issues, as we mark the early days of the fall season.

Traditionally, the fall season offers some interesting changes in home buyer and seller activities from the spring and summer months. Nationally, the fall can bring less competition between home buyers—and sellers, who want to list their homes for sale. This time of the year typically draws out serious buyers to select from a larger inventory of homes.

Though every real estate market has its own characteristics—that sometimes don’t match one another—in Santa Fe, we often find that consumers who visit the city in the summer, often return in the fall to purchase a property. Also, the mild weather and scenic beauty of golden aspens and crisp air in New Mexico, can make properties more appealing to potential buyers.
Home Builder Review:
Generally speaking—building a home in the fall in Santa Fe can take advantage of milder weather conditions, making construction more manageable and efficient. Kevin Skelly will reflect on this reality, as well what other advantages present themselves to his home construction efforts this fall. He will also update us on the state of home building in the Santa Fe area, as well as nationally.

Kevin will also share his thoughts on a variety of home building design, construction, and renovation activities that are happening in October. He will also point to the important elements that consumers should give attention to, as they develop their own plans for home construction, or remodeling.

From concept to construction, Kevin and his team are well-known for applying a comprehensive approach in the process of achieving a consumer’s vision for building, or remodeling a home. Kevin’s firm offers services to consumers not only in Northern New Mexico, but also in various regions in Colorado, where he has a track record of successful home construction. K.M. Skelly, Inc., has perfected a strategy that concentrates on customer service and quality products by giving attention to the details in every project. Kevin Skelly is a Certified Green Professional and a Graduate Master Builder with over three decades of industry experience. Living in Santa Fe for more than 30 years, Kevin has developed a love for “Santa Fe style” that incorporates simple lines and reflects the landscape’s natural beauty. Accepting a limited number of projects each year, K.M. Skelly, Inc., is able to build a lasting trust with every client, transforming their visions into reality. As a long-time content contributor to the ATRE radio program, Kevin continues his role in 2026, offering valuable observations on a range of home construction issues.

2026 Roof Restoration Maintenance Update:
John Grisak will speak to the fact that the weather in Santa Fe, produces temperatures that can fluctuate greatly, season to season. This reality can lead to shrinking, expansion, drying, cracking, and blistering of your roofing materials. This, in turn, can lead to leaking. In such cases, timely roof repairs are essential to prevent further damage. The fall is a great time to have John and his crew members inspect your roof to determine if you may be facing restoration, which should be attended to before winter.

John will also review the services offered by the three companies he owns, which address any type of roof configuration: Fix My Roof, LLC, Fiddler Roofing NM, and Zia Insulated Foam Roofing.

Fix My Roof, LLC, is committed to restoring existing roofs for a fraction of the cost of roof replacement while maximizing a positive impact on the environment by embracing environmentally responsible practices and educating the greater community about environmental stewardship. Headquartered in Santa Fe, the roof restoration companies owned by John Grisak, are well-known for serving their residential and commercial customers in Santa Fe, Los Alamos, El Dorado, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Cochiti, Las Cruces, Alamogordo, Silver City, and many more locations. Fix My Roof, LLC is not only a long-time supporter of ATRE, but its professionals are also some of the radio program’s most trusted content providers.

Reflections On The Brokers And Listings Of Sotheby’s International Realty:
Rey will share his thoughts on the professional expertise, knowledge and commitment of his fellow associate broker colleagues at Sotheby’s International Realty, as well as the quality of the listings that the company offers to home buyers who wish to make Santa Fe their home.

SFAR Real Estate Highlight:
The leaves are turning, the days are getting shorter and suddenly that front stoop is calling out for a little autumn attention. The good news? Boosting curb appeal for fall listings doesn’t require a major renovation. Start with a few oversized planters filled with mums in rich burgundy, rust or gold. As daylight dwindles, layer porch, path and accent lighting to create a warm welcome after dark. And before the pumpkins arrive, fix peeling paint, worn railings or other tired details that could distract from an otherwise inviting entrance. A few thoughtful updates can help sellers turn that important first impression into a warm fall welcome.

Ned is joining in the planning a new wildfire protection event, after the success of one staged on May 12th, which was hosted by the Santa Fe Association of Realtors. More information on this upcoming event will be offered in the near future.

Giving Back to the Community:
Since 2009, the “All Things Real Estate” (ATRE) radio show has offered air time to a variety of Santa Fe non-profit and community organizations. Representatives from organizations are able to use the ATRE program to share news and information with northern New Mexico residents about their services and activities. Over the years, some of the highly-regarded non-profit organizations featured on the ATRE program are:—The Santa Fe Department of Arts & Culture; New Story; Native Treasures Art Market; Cornerstones Community Partnerships; Think New Mexico; Las Campanas Compadres; the Santa Fe Concorso; Kitchen Angels; Creative Santa Fe; Dollars4Schools; and Youthworks. Senior Officers of the CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, have also served as commentators on the program. In addition, Santa Fe’s new Mayor, Michael Garcia, made his first visit to the ATRE show in February 2026, speaking to the programs, events and community activities important to the residents of the city. In 2019, the Town of Taos collaborated with ATRE, in a year-long information series—sponsored by the Taos Ski Valley—called “This Is Taos.” Designed to offer useful information about this historic northern New Mexico community, the monthly show earned high marks from the public.
