This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby’s International Realty’s Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660), as well as variety of special guests who offer news, information and commentary on current real estate, business, and community issues, important to homeowners, buyers and sellers.
The “All Things Real Estate” (ATRE) radio show meets the standards established by the New Mexico Department of Health as an “essential business” (real estate-related and radio service), as defined in the state’s March 23, 2020 public health emergency order relating to the presence of coronavirus. As such, ATRE is committed to bringing timely and informative content to the public from some of the nation’s best business, non-profit, community, and real estate leaders. The guest commentators on this week’s show are emblematic of the quality of professionals who have helped to make ATRE a destination that people from all over the country turn to each Sunday.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-host, Steve Riemann, President of the Santa Fe Title Company as they discuss a variety of current real estate and business issues impacting home owners, buyers, sellers, and renters as we come off of the nation’s November 3rd general election.
Steve Riemann Updates On The Home Buying and Selling Process:
Steve and Rey will reflect on a variety of real estate-related issues, which are given greater emphasis, as our nation registers the outcome of the November 3rd general election. Steve will also offer an update on how he and his team members continue to use unique tools, and processes as they pursue their day-to-day work activities in our coronavirus-influenced world. In addition, Steve will also provide an update on the closing process in the Santa Fe region, as well as the state of the real estate market as we come to the close of 2020, including his thoughts on the importance of title insurance in all home buying/selling transactions. As a certified instructor of real estate in New Mexico, Steve will also offer some thoughts on why consumers should strive to partner with well-educated real estate professionals. The Santa Fe Title Company is committed to providing the best service possible for home buyers, including top notch closing services and delivering title insurance protection covering invalid liens, false claim of rights, and heirs that have not been identified, to name a few. Steve was the very first guest on the ATRE show in June 2009, and has brought a wealth of information to the program about the real estate process during his 11+ years as a commentator. Steve will return to the program in 2021 as a regular commentator.
Rey’s “Real Estate Recommendation”:
Rey’s weekly real estate recommendation will offer information on the ongoing efforts of Sotheby’s International Realty to address the needs of home buyers and sellers, as the coronavirus situation continues. Rey will also share some thoughts on an ongoing element of teamwork, that he and all of his broker colleagues subscribe to. Specifically, that the marketing and administrative staff at the Santa Fe office of Sotheby’s International Realty are offering an even greater level of professional assistance to the company’s brokers and clients, during this exceptionally challenging period of time.
Broker Reflections and Property of the Week:
Rey will review the attributes of 2 Cielo Encantado with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague KC Martin. Rey will also ask KC to reflect on how coronavirus has impacted her personal life, and real estate work. Regarding KC’s property listing, this tranquil residence is sited beautifully, sitting on a dream lot of approximately 3 acres. Located very close to the community of Las Campanas, yet providing privacy and mountain views, this three-bedroom, two-bath home – 3rd bedroom is currently used as an office – radiates Santa Fe charm, offering an open floor plan for the living room, dining room, and kitchen areas which provide for effortless entertaining along with high ceilings and skylights. The stunning living room fireplace welcomes you with a backdrop of large picture windows. There is a beautiful kitchen island and cozy eating nook in the kitchen with an abundance of morning light. The master bedroom is generous in size with a potential for separate seating/office area and an inviting fireplace with en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. There is a gracious walled front courtyard with wooden gates and private back patio area perfect for entertaining, or relaxing in privacy. Southwest style is evident throughout the home with plaster walls, vigas, lintels, corbels, two kiva fireplaces, oakwood and tile floors. There is a deep, covered entry portal, evaporative cooling, and attached garage with easy parking and a round-about. This enchanting residence is overall exceptionally light and bright and highly expressive with lots of windows, which provide an oasis conjoining the indoor and the outdoor living spaces. An easy drive to Santa Fe, of only approximately 15 minutes, yet ‘a World Away’.
In the second hour of the show, join Rey for a special interview of the Mayor of Santa Fe, Alan Webber. Becoming the 43rd mayor of Santa Fe winning with a landslide victory on March 6, 2018, Alan is known as a successful entrepreneur and author and has considerable experience in local, state and Federal government activities. Alan has worked as the Editorial Director of the Harvard Business Review; ran for the Democratic nomination for Governor of New Mexico in 2014 (finishing second in a field of five candidates); and in 1995, co-founded the technology business magazine, Fast Company, where he was named Adweek’s Editor of the Year in 1999.
